How DVN is making a difference
DaVita Village Network (DVN) supports hundreds of teammates each year. While every situation is different, DVN’s support generally falls into a few categories:

Stories that matter
A 16-year teammate suffered from hearing loss and wasn’t able to hear his patients anymore. His insurance wouldn’t cover hearing aids, and he didn’t have the funds to pay for them. His local team did fundraising and DVN assisted to purchase his hearing aids.
While visiting a friend, a teammate was bitten by a poisonous brown recluse spider. The bite became infected and the teammate wasn’t able to work. DVN helped this teammate with costs that weren’t covered by medical insurance.
The apartment below caught fire while I was at work. I was alerted and came home to realize I lost everything, including my pets. Red Cross provided temporary shelter for a couple days, but I didn’t have family close by and needed more time to find a new place to live. DVN helped me with a short stay at a local hotel so I could continue to work and find a place to live.
